Botanical:Cymbopogon Citratus

Also called Veromanitra ( perfume smell) in Madagascar. Lemongrass essential oil is extracted through the process of steam distillation of the whole plants. It smells like lemon but not so sharp, sweeter, and less sour.

Properties: antimicrobial, antipyretic, antiseptic, analgesic, antidepressant, astringent, deodorant, diuretic, fungicidal, insecticidal, tonic.

USES

Constituents: Myrcene, citronellal, citronellol, geranial acetate, nerol, geraniol, neral, limonene and citral.
